1. What Business Protection Is
Business Protection is the set of access controls built into GS One that govern how candidate and employer information is shared — protecting candidates from unsolicited contact and protecting employers' hiring activity from being visible to competitors.
2. Candidate Contact Protection
A candidate's direct contact details (email, phone) are masked from employers by default. An employer must submit a contact-access or interview request, which a recruiter reviews and approves or rejects. Only approved requests reveal contact details, and every decision is logged.
3. Employer Identity Protection
Employer identity is also protected on the candidate side: a hiring company's name is masked from candidates until a configurable stage in the process (e.g. after an interview is scheduled), so employers can hire without prematurely revealing their identity.
4. Recruiter Oversight
Every contact and interview request passes through a recruiter, who has visibility into both sides of the transaction. This prevents either party from bypassing the platform's verification and access process.
5. Audit Trail
Every access request, approval, and rejection is recorded with the identity of who performed the action and when, providing a complete, reviewable history.
